Blockchain success with historical movements

Philippe DuBois et fils was established in 1785 in Le Locle. Since then, it has carried forward the reputation of Swiss watches around the world. Based in Basel, the company is a manufacturer of wristwatches. The Basel-based company is a manufacturer of wristwatches and produces highly limited watch models.

Since the summer of 2021, DuBois et fils is reviving this watchmaking craftsmanship- so deeply rooted in Switzerland- and leading it into the future in a special campaign: Switzerland's oldest watch factory relies on blockchain. DuBois et fils has already sold several hundred tokenized movements to date. Find out exactly what this means and with what success this innovation is associated here:

Why buy tokenized movements?

At DuBois et fils, purchasing a watch starts with choosing a tokenized movement. Those who purchase one of these limited edition Swiss automatic movements will decide in which watch it will be installed at a later date. What other advantages and what exactly tokenizing movements means are compiled in the following article:

Previous movements with DBF tokens

DuBois et fils kicked off movement sales for the first time with 330 Adolf Schild 1960s AS-1895 caliber tokenized movements. The popularity of these historical movements is ongoing among watch enthusiasts and continue to be valued today for their proven reliability, durability and functionality. The AS-1895 movements sold out in only four days and now tick in the DBF007 Diver watch collection.

The caliber AS-1985 series is sold out as well: 330 persons are currently accompanying their tokenized movement on its way to a new, limited DuBois et fils watch. The DBF008 will go on sale directly after the movements are installed. Each new watch is connected to the blockchain.

Made for the future: Tokenized caliber Felsa 692: The "Bidynator" has had a decisive influence on all subsequent designs of automatic movements. DuBois et fils transforms these solid masterpieces of craftsmanship into new timepieces, revitalizing the craftsmanship that is deeply rooted in Switzerland. This series was sold out after a few days.
