The AS-1673 movement is a rare masterpiece of Swiss watchmaking from 1955. With its extremely flat design, centre seconds and integrated automatic winding mechanism, it showcases the remarkable craftsmanship of Adolf Schild from Grenchen. Features such as the decentralised rotor and the decoupled manual winding mechanism give this movement
Only 110 of these original tokenised movements are available – an exclusive opportunity for collectors and lovers of historic Swiss watches.
When you purchase a movement, you also receive a virtual token with it. The token links the movement to exclusive benefits, serves as proof of ownership via the blockchain and guarantees transparency.
Your personal copy remains with DuBois et fils until it is installed in a new watch. We take care of the proper storage, maintenance and insurance of this piece of jewellery.
There will only be a very limited number of movements available. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity.
DuBois et fils is the first brand to tokenise its watches: each watch is linked to a blockchain and has a digital NFT twin – so it exists both in analogue and virtual form.
DuBois et fils stores various information about the origin of the watch and the history of the model in the digital chronicle of your timepiece. The data in it is not publicly accessible. Whether videos, texts, images – all documents are stored there securely and for generations. You can continue to write the chronicle of your watch individually after you receive it. Each watch thus becomes a unique piece.
Adolf Schild-Hugi, brother of Urs Schild (Eterna), was born in Grenchen in 1844. He completed an apprenticeship as a watchmaker and went on to become one of the most talented watchmakers of the 19th and 20th centuries.
His company, A. Schild S.A., produced a large number of mechanical movements for many well-known watch brands. At the beginning of the 20th century, the production facility was one of the largest movement manufacturers in Switzerland. The production result was always marked with the marking ‘AS’.
After the death of the company's founder, his sons Adolf, Ernst and César Schild took over the management. The presentation of an automatic movement based on the Harwood system in 1926 was revolutionary. The movements from A. Schild S.A. were particularly appreciated for their proven reliability.
In the 1970s, the company was integrated into ETA. ‘AS’ calibres are now rare on the market. However, the popularity of these historic calibres remains undiminished among watch fans.
DuBois et fils launched 330 tokenised movements for the first time in summer 2021 with the AS-1895 calibre, which sold out after just four days and led to the DBF007, our popular diving watches. The AS-1985 calibre, known for its reliability, was also quickly sold out and was integrated into the DBF008 collection. The tokenised series of the legendary Felsa 692 (‘Bidynator’) calibre found many enthusiasts. The Record 1959-2 calibre, an automatic movement with date from the 1970s, represents our largest series of tokenised movements to date, with 495 examples.
