DuBois et fils opens own workshop
With the creation of this atelier, DuBois et fils is marking a significant milestone in its long history and strengthening its position as a manufacturer of exclusive Swiss watches with historical movements.
Exclusivity meets expertise
A particular highlight of this opening is the recruitment of Thomas Gronenthal, who will take up his post in the workshop on 1 July. Gronenthal is a renowned expert on historical movements, a watch journalist and blogger, and a lecturer at the Bavarian Watchmaking School. His long-standing friendship with the DuBois et fils brand and his extensive expertise make him a valuable asset to our company.
Historic movements in new splendour
With the new workshop in Muttenz and under the expert guidance of Thomas Gronenthal, DuBois et fils will be able to overhaul and restore old historical movements. These meticulously restored movements are then installed in our limited edition watches, adding to the uniqueness and exclusivity of the products.
In addition, DuBois et fils has recently acquired what is probably the largest stock of 18,000 movements from the last century and millions of spare parts. This stock will enable us to restore and preserve a large number of historic movements, thus preserving the tradition and heritage of watchmaking.
The opening of the new workshop and the addition of Thomas Gronenthal to the team mark an important step in the evolution of DuBois et fils. We remain true to our tradition and quality and look to the future with confidence, while preserving the rich history of Swiss watchmaking.
