Caliber Felsa 4017

Hand-wound movement from 1962

The DBF011 is powered by the Swiss Felsa 4017 calibre movement. This historical movement was developed by the Felsa manufactory in Grenchen under the direction of engineer Friedrich Meyer, and its innovations played a key role in the evolution of the modern wristwatch. Switzerland's oldest watch factory relies on blockchain

To date, DuBois et fils has sold several hundred tokenised watch movements. A new subsidiary, SwissValueCHAin GmbH (SVCH), was founded to develop the technology.

The blockchain is intended not only for documentation and participation in the value chain, but also for protection against counterfeit watches. A digital, forgery-proof token is an ideal way to preserve the authenticity and genuineness of valuable products across generations.

By venturing into this new field of technology and developing a specific blockchain application, DuBois et fils can also bring values such as sustainability and historical connection to life in the digital age.
