DuBois et fils houses an exceptional collection of historic Swiss watch movements. These mechanical treasures have been carefully preserved over the decades – many of them without ever having been fitted into a watch.

Since 2020, we have been servicing these calibres professionally, after which they are fitted into limited-edition mechanical watches. There, they fulfil their original purpose of measuring time and continue to tell their story on the wrist.
Caliber Felsa 4017
DBF011
This movement originates from the Felsa factory in Grenchen, whose innovations under engineer Friedrich Meyer had a decisive influence on the modern wristwatch. The Swiss Felsa 4017 calibre from 1962, a hand-wound movement, is now ticking inside the DBF011.
Caliber Record 1959-2
DBF010
The Record 1959-2 movement was produced by the Geneva Record Watch Co. SA dates from the early 1970s. It is currently fitted to the DBF010, which has a sapphire crystal caseback through which it can be seen.
Caliber Felsa 692
DBF009
Manufactured by Felsa S.A. in 1948, the automatic movement now powers the DBF009 Swiss Pilot Watch by DuBois et fils. It is considered to be extremely robust and durable.
Caliber AS-1985
DBF008
The AS-1985 calibre, produced by A. Schild S.A., dates back to the 1960s. Equipped with this high-quality movement, the DBF008 is a reliable companion.
Caliber AS-1895
DBF007
This is an original, historic AS-1895 calibre movement, manufactured by A. Schild S.A. It is currently used in the DBF007 Diver Watch by DuBois et fils.
Caliber ETA-2622
Historical Swiss automatic movement with NFT

Anyone who purchases a tokenised Swiss automatic movement from us can choose which watch to fit it into at a later date.

The digital twin
When you purchase a tokenised movement, you receive a digital twin in the form of a non-fungible token (NFT). Each original Swiss movement is linked to a digital token.
During production, the value of both the movement and the token increases – and you benefit from this increase in value.
The number of tokenised movements is strictly limited.
Authenticity in the digital age
Your personal movement is professionally stored, maintained and insured by DuBois et fils until it is fitted to a watch. You will have the right of first refusal for the watch that will eventually be made from it.
Thanks to blockchain technology, the key stages of its history can be digitally traced. This ensures that the provenance, authenticity and history of every movement are permanently and transparently documented.
Tokenisation of historic watch movements
DuBois et fils has already tokenised several hundred historic Swiss watch movements. The company established its own subsidiary, SwissValueCHain GmbH (SVCH), to develop the technology.
The blockchain not only serves for documentation and participation in the value chain, but also for protection against counterfeiting. It also creates a permanently traceable link between the physical movement and its digital twin.
By combining historic watchmaking craftsmanship with digital innovation, DuBois et fils is making values such as authenticity, sustainability and provenance accessible to future generations.
