This exceptional model from the 2000s is not just a timepiece; it is also a link to the history of DuBois et fils. Drawing inspiration from a 1798 pocket watch, it marries traditional elegance with modern sophistication.
Each function tells a story: power reserve, date, day of the week and month. This microcosm of time comes to life on the wrist.
This special piece bears the rare serial number 194 out of just 299 – a piece of horological history waiting to be discovered.
Over 200 years ago, Philippe DuBois sent his son, Charles, to America in search of new markets and a bright future. Among his luggage was an extraordinary collection of the finest timepieces, intended for the young and promising market across the ocean.
However, the mission faded into the mists of history. The entire collection was mysteriously lost, and its fate remains unknown to this day.
Only one piece escaped this loss: the Montre Calendrier. As if by a miracle, Charles saved it from destruction.
To commemorate this first calendar watch, DuBois et fils has created a limited edition of this vintage 1785 DuBois watch – a symbol of courage, loss and that which endures the test of time.
This document from the 2000s was used to sell this DuBois et fils Chronograph.
