This 2000s watch pays homage to DuBois et fils' first chronograph series from 1922. Originally marketed as the ideal companion for sportswear and evening wear, it is now also a highly sought-after collector's item.
Stylish and versatile in equal measure, this head-turning timepiece can be worn as a functional watch, an elegant city chronograph or a sophisticated business companion.
This document from the 2000s was used to sell this DuBois et fils Chronograph.
The development of a new timepiece was on the agenda for DuBois et fils in the 1920s. The company's head at the time, Jules DuBois, had a clear vision:
'This watch should not only be worn at the racecourse or while driving, but also in the evening.'
At that time, the pocket watch was still a natural accompaniment to evening wear. However, DuBois et fils showed foresight, contributing to the dawn of a new era. The wristwatch was no longer solely used for functional purposes during the day; it also found its place in elegant social settings.
The chronograph evolved from a sports instrument into a stylish timepiece.
Today, we are auctioning this timepiece from the 2000s, which was inspired by the early days of the wrist chronograph in the 1920s.
