Stephan Messmer

Stephan Messmer

Even though we can prepare ourselves for them, some moments are incredibly hard to bear. It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we bid farewell to Stephan Messmer.

Stephan was much more than a brilliant designer. To us, he was a wonderful person, a loyal companion, and a dear friend.

For many years, Stephan gave the watches of DuBois et fils their distinctive face. What shines on our website today was created by him. Stephan shaped the modern history of DuBois et fils like no one else, and his legacy will live on forever in these timeless watches.

Our collaboration began with the DBF006, and many more collections followed. Stephan’s pursuit of the perfect design constantly challenged us. But together with his curiosity and his willingness to explore new paths, he led us to places we would never have reached without him.

His passion for historical movements and traditional watchmaking is what connected Stephan with all of us at DuBois et fils – a bond that will not be broken, even now. His final masterpiece, the DBF012, was still designed by Stephan, and we will complete this watch in his spirit and in his honor.

Stephan has been released from his long suffering. To all his loved ones, we extend our heartfelt condolences. Stephan will forever remain in our hearts.

Thank you, dear friend.
