Bettina Hahnloser mit Thomas Steinemann bei DuBois et fils

An evening full of stories

Who are the people behind the big names in the Swiss watch industry? Which economic interests, political influences and strategic decisions have shaped the industry over the last century? On 15 October, Bettina Hahnloser joined us to explore these questions in depth.

In conversation with CEO Thomas Steinemann, the economist, journalist and author sheds light on a turbulent era and events whose effects are still being felt today.

The history of watches is closely linked to that of Switzerland. This became particularly evident that evening.

During the tour of the DuBois et fils premises, visitors had the opportunity to view historic Swiss movements up close, including those by Adolf Schild from Grenchen. They could also try on DuBois et fils watches and see how they look on their own wrists.
