Cult status of British Racing Green: DBF003-07

The classic English colour has traditionally been a dark green shade, the so-called British Green. The legendary colour has its origins in auto racing, to be more exact, during a time when the participating nations had to choose a colour for their racing cars. Red was for Italy, white for Germany, blue for France and green was for the British teams. The colour soon achieved cult status within the sport of auto racing, and as 'British Racing Green', also made its way into the wardrobes of the British nobility and others of considerable means.

British Racing Green is the typical colour of the understatement, discreet and yet very noble, very British, indeed! Or in other words, the perfect colour for a timepiece of our DBF collection: the model DBF003-07 with big date. The interplay of matte brushed and polished surfaces on the multi-piece case (40 mm), made from stainless steel 316L, is a wonderful contrast to the high-gloss green painted dial. Together with the double-sided anti-reflective sapphire glass, the hand appliqued numerals and indices lend the watch a remarkable optical depth. This 3-hand self-winding watch in a reduced, elegant design is waterproof up to 5 ATM.

In addition to green, the dial versions in black and anthracite are a special highlight of the DBF003 with big date. Click here for more information.
