AUCTION ENDED

The NFT diary of Fabienne Wohlwend and the corresponding watch DBF007-08-05 were auctioned for a total of CHF 7'599.00.

The auction ended on June 14, 2023 with an atmospheric event and in the presence of the racer.

A lifestyle devoted to motorsport

The car racer Fabienne Wohlwend grew up in a motor sports enthusiastic family in Liechtenstein. Even as a child, she successfully raced on the tracks in her home country and in Switzerland as a go-kart driver.

The young driver impressed with her skills at the wheel early on, but the path to becoming a professional driver wasn't exactly easy for her. In Liechtenstein, there was neither a suitable sports school of any kind nor specific support for young talent.

Fortunately, speed is a characteristic that also distinguishes Fabienne Wohlwend off the race track: With a lot of energy, passion and perseverance, she proved her talent and willingness to perform at various European races. In 2016, she switched to formula racing and has been at home on the racetracks of Europe ever since.

At the starting line with DuBois et fils

Fabienne Wohlwend's next big target is the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring on May 21 and 22, 2023. The qualifying race will be held on April 22-24, 2023. Equipped with a DuBois et fils watch, the motorsport athlete is in training for this important weekend.

24-hour race at the Nürburgring

Even as a trained professional athlete, a race is associated with a high level of inner tension for Fabienne Wohlwend. How does she feel as the pit lanes open at the start of a race? What goes through her mind during a final test drive? Is she satisfied with her preparation? Are there certain expectations that need to be met? How will the other race car drivers be competing against her in the race? The pressure before such a big event is enormous and a real roller coaster of emotions. The 24-hour race at the Nürburgring from May 18 to 21, 2023, is therefore associated with a lot of emotions for the courageous race car driver.

Fabienne Wohlwend's digital diary

Even before this great event, Fabienne Wohlwend has started with her first entry in the digital diary of the DuBois et fils watch she is wearing: the qualifying races on April 22, 2023 mark the beginning of an intense period - an ideal moment for a first personal contribution.

The content she creates is linked in real time to the DBF007-08-05 watch. All entries are then stored unchangeably on the digital NFT twin of the timepiece and secured with the latest blockchain technology.

From the first entry to the auction of the watch

The 24-hour race at the Nürburgring will take place from May 18 to 21, 2023. Until then, Fabienne Wohlwend is recording her everyday life, pictures of her training sessions, her fears, private moments of happiness as well as her thoughts. For example, she shows how she prepares for the big performance on the race track. What material is needed for a successful race? What do her training sessions look like? What does it mean to focus and channel one’s emotions? The skilled professional racer records this and much more in her diary.

After those thirty days in the life of the professional racing driver, the watch, with all of Fabienne Wohlwend's digital entries, will be auctioned off on the DuBois et fils auction site.
